THREE YEARS SHE GREW IN SUN AND SHOWER
Williams Wordsworth, via his narrator, begins the poem by describing a young girl, Lucy, that for tierce years she grew in sunniness and shower. The author uses the result three to describe the climb on in which Nature found the child. Sun and shower behave as an antithetical coupling of forges serving the purport of describing how she lived, instead of primarily focusing on where she lived, as the both ledgers present opposing forces apparent in nature. The word sun evokes a sense of warmth and brightness, while the word shower evokes a sense of coldness and darkness. Both aspects however, in nature are required to cultivate beautiful flowers.
