This essay ordain be foc exploitation on a Patient I cared for while on my first clinical placement in a central London hospital. Due to confidentiality reasons and a recommendation by the NMC (2004) to protect the personal information of long-sufferings and clients, pseudonyms have thence been used to ensure anonymity.
In coiffe to maintain this confidentiality, the patient I cared for will be referred to as Ms. Green. The hospital in which I worked will besides be called Fairfax Hospital and the guard Syringa.
Syringa Ward was a cardiac ward and because they cared for patients with cardiac problems. It was a 32 bedded mixed ward which was divided into two with male and female patients on either side.
In this essay I will be flavour at how I showed respect to my patient as an psyche taking into account her age, gender, race and disability. Furthermore, I will tie how the organisation in which I did my placement promoted anti-discriminatory practice deep down the service for the patient, focusing particularly on health promotion. I will also illustrate the roles of two other professionals who were in involved in the care of my patient.



Ultimately, I will be reflecting on the experience I gained whiles working with the patient.
Ms. Green is a 69 year grey-headed Asian woman, a Muslim, a retired nanny and a widow. She lives with her sister who is 65 years old and also a widow and her two daughters in a semi-detached house. Ms. Green was admitted to the hospital through Accident and Emergency surgical incision with a suspected angina (heart pain). After diagnosis, it was discovered that her coronary thrombosis arteries were narrowing.
