Philosophers spend their lives reading, thinking, puzzling, writing, teaching, but the Nicomachean contemplative does not seem to be a police detective, for being a researcher is seeking to know, and contemplation is only for those who already know! So how can I manipulate my active life of leisure into a non-active state of contemplating what I already know?
