The monk then tells the boy that he will give him the rosary if he knows who he is, to which the boy answers: Lama. The monk apparently is struck by this occurrence and comes back at a later time to provide further testing with the pattern of discovering if Lhamo is the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama.
