Prior to the beginning day of camp our coach set us all in all up with what we would be teaching for those three long days. On the eighteenth the instructors had to be at the gym at 8:30 in the morning to set up mats, the snack, and have-to doe with tags for everyone. We had a total of seventeen lady friends and two boys ranging in ages from vi to fourteen. The number of boys competing in the sport of cheerleading is growing every year. In 1996-97, 585 boys participated in the sport. By 2001-02, that number had more than quadrupled, to 2,581 (Egan). We divided the boys and girls in six groups, each with their own unique color. We got started at 9:00 with a stretching and tumbling exercise in the shopping center of the gym. At 9:30 all of the instructors were introduced and we split up the kids by the color of their name tags.

We spent 30 transactions with each group teaching them the proper stunting and detection techniques.
