1.What social and stinting developments by 1900 influenced so more Americans to abandon the Victorian architectural tendency and embrace the cottage style?
The Victorian style berth was very beautiful inside and outside with its miraculous colors and well design for a women back because in the late nineteenth century. But throughout the years, especially during those years in particular, there were so many changes. Changes that everyone sacrificed to line up to modern ways, the new American way I would introduce for the progressive house. The late nineteenth century there was a dramatic modification in America, especially at home. company leaders wanted to design new homes for what they called progressive approach, (113). In Hollitz While their social goals often were based on unlike values, public-health nurses, arts and crafts advocates, feminist, domestic scientists, and settlement-house workers favored the same simplified, standardized home to represent those values. These groups or designers came up with a design that allow for make the house look massive or manfully with exposed tree trunks and cut out stones for a finish manful look. So many Americans were able to correct to this new progressive change; therefore, the Victorian style fine by little was losing a battle against these new cottage homes. This new style home, Bungalow, was consider to be the answer to many middle class families in which they were able to afford these new homes and was suppose to be consider a home that lead solve the reduction of divorce rate and violence.
