I am very bothered. Is a verse is written by Simon Armitage, it is a confessional monologue. The poet is reflecting on past events, he is addressing to a woman that he honeyd as a teenager. The poet does not use a rhyming pattern. He uses a personal, recital style to express his feelings. Only the opening two sentences ar a 13 year old boy language. even the rest of the poem is what an adult would say about the past. The poem is written to appear like a sonnet; although it does not have all of the aspects that a sonnet has, it does contain 14 offices.

The opening two sentences are proof that the poet is really annoyed. nearly the horrible things that he had done in his life: I am very bothered when I think of the freehanded things I have done in my life .Then he remembers what happened I n the chemistry lab. He used to love a girl, when he was a teenager. The poet wanted to marry her. He was apprehensive to ask her, because they were too young to get married. So Simon Armitage wanted to leave a mark on her skin. This grunge would represent the wedding ring. He puts the blades of the scissors in the bare-assed lilac flame of the Bunsen burner. It means the flame did not have any c everyplace or protection, as the scissors were really hot. Then he gave her the scissors, then called your name, and handed them over.

In the second verse when the poet said as you slipped your thumb and oculus finger in Simon Armitage saw the extremely hot scissors, gliding in the thumb and middle finger of the woman that he used to love.
