My personal opinion on petition in schools I would neither encourage nor discourage it. I feel that each person as an individual has the remediate to practice his or her religion however, they may not transgress on another persons rights while doing so. I believe in acknowledging many types of faith and learning round them suffer help to expand students so as to study others culture and beliefs. I welcome no problem with having a moment of silence in school and students cosmos adequate to pray silently to themselves.
I think school is a place for learning as much as we poop about as many different subjects. One of those being the world around us these does include acknowledging a kind of different ghostly beliefs. However, learning about them and forcing them on others I feel are two different things. Many measure a persons religious beliefs are a part of who they are so we essential understand this in order to understand them.
Our nation was founded on the belief in religious freedom and I feel students should be taught this.
The courts pronounce that prayer is allowed when not engaged in school activities, students may organize religious groups just as other non-curricular groups can and must be given the same access as these groups, teachers while acting in an official capacity must not encourage or discourage such activities, schools have the discretion to dismiss students to off-premises religious instruction, students may express their religious beliefs in school work, schools may not mandate or organize prayer at graduation.
