In the last scene, the soldiers are in the bar, very position back and relaxed. They are drinking. A plump humans with many scold up trousers and more than or less scruff on his face, comes up on the stage with a drink in hand, and says that he has a little treat. He brings out a excite German girl. The soldiers scream and gawk, for they befuddle probably not seen a woman in years. The pump scruffy man with the beat up trousers manages to quiet them down only to tell them that she has no talent, except for a little natural talent. He in conclusion gets her to sing. The poor girl checks equivalent a kitten that had doomed their mother. She sings softly, a tune in German. Each mans face changes from excited and a bit obnoxious, to quiet and respectful. each of the workforce start to hum along to the song. No one and only(a) in the room cared that she was singing in a row they couldnt understand, or a tune they had never heard before.
I think this was an extremely powerful scene. I remember when pith Daqs was looking at his men, and I could not stop thinking these men have hearts these men are not animals. I bet what Kernel Daqs was thinking was: what I have to do for my job is worth it.

If I were Kernel Daqs, I would smile too, because I would feel connected and in some way proud of my men, that they had seen and lived through so many knockdown-dragout and disturbing events, and were still able to come together and conduct in a way that was meaningful.
